Technical Business Analyst

About the Role

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering translating needs into clear requirements, shaping processes, and ensuring enterprise applications and integrations deliver tangible outcomes. What You’ll Do
Lead workshops, interviews, and process reviews to elicit business needs; translate outcomes into well-formed epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceable requirements.
Map current/future-state processes (BPMN/UML), data flows, and application interdependencies across enterprise systems, integration platforms, reporting/BI, and collaboration tools.
Partner with architects and developers to evaluate options; define non-functional requirements; contribute to API/interface specifications and data contracts.
Maintain DevOps backlogs; support sprint planning; ensure test plans, UAT scripts, and release notes are complete and traceable.
Prepare user guides and training assets; facilitate System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing; support adoption and hyper care; create governance artifacts that scale.
Write SQL for validation; specify ETL transformations; steward reference/master data; work with integration patterns.
Identify risks; coordinate mitigations aligned to privacy/security standards; ensure vendor SOWs/SLAs reflect requirements.
Establish KPIs; build feedback loops; recommend iterative enhancements to solutions, processes, and support models.
Experience in energy/renewables or monitoring platforms is a plus given our portfolio but not required.
What You’ll Bring
5+ years in Business Analysis with demonstrable impact on enterprise applications or integrations.
Strong technical fluency (SQL, APIs, data models, ETL, integration patterns).
Proficiency with Jira or Azure DevOps; Confluence/SharePoint for documentation.
Modeling skills (BPMN, UML) and hands-on requirements management.
Familiarity with CRM/ERP (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365, Oracle), data warehousing/BI, and the Microsoft stack (Power Platform, Azure).
Excellent communication. Able to distill complexity, build consensus, and keep teams moving.
Nice-to-have: Experience in regulated or asset-intensive industries.
